Alice Eva (Neilsen) Quinn

Alice Eva (Nielsen) Quinn - Beloved wife of Jack Quinn, born May 14,1928 to Lorne and Doris Whyte in Hussar, AB passed away on September 22, 2016 at the Wentworth Manor in Calgary, AB.
Alice married her late husband Gunnar Nielsen in 1948 and began farming north of Hussar where they raised their 8 children. In 1971 they relocated to Calgary where Alice began a successful career in retail. Gunnar passed away in 1985. In 1993 Alice met Jack Quinn of Calgary, AB who she married in 2003. Alice and Jack spent their years together enjoying many activities and hobbies.
Alice is also survived by her children Brian (Pat) of Strathmore, Dean (Carrie) of Brooks, Kelvin (Shirley) of Calgary, Ida (Norm) of Carseland, Paul (Suzie) of Enderby and stepchildren Sheldon (Linda) of Calgary, Rosella (Ray) of Calgary, 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and brothers Fred Whyte and Don Williams.
Alice was pre-deceased by daughters Lola and Ellen, son Lorne, grandson Jeffery, brother Bill Williams and her parents.
Memorial services will be held in the Chapel at the Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street S.E. Calgary, AB) on Tuesday September 27, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your local Food Bank. To express condolences, please visit: www.mountainviewmemorial.ca.
