<div itemprop="description">BROWN, Claudia Joan <br> <br>Claudia Joan Brown passed away at the Foothills Hospital on October 8, 2016 at the age of 68 years. <br> <br>Claudia Joan was the loving mother of Wes (Kelly) Brown of Carstairs, Brad (Valery) Brown of Calgary and Aaron (Tammy) Brown of Grande Prairie. She will also be dearly missed by her five grandchildren Tyson, Ilana, Eyrica, Celeste and Alexandra and lovingly remembered by her brothers Dan (Diane) Phillips and family and Tony (Linda) Phillips and family, cousins and extended family. <br> <br>Claudia Joan was predeceased by her mother and father, Ruth and Don Phillips, sister Linda Hnybida and brother Jim Phillips. <br> <br>Claudia Joan was born on August 15, 1948 in Calgary, Alberta. She spent her childhood growing up in Drumheller, Alberta and Lynn Lake, Manitoba. She met and married Morley Mielke in Lynn Lake and together they had three sons, Wes, Brad and Aaron. She was later re-married in 1977 to William (Bill) Brown and raised her family in the Carstairs area. In 1991 she moved into Calgary to be closer to her work as an oilfield Land Administrator. She remained in Calgary until her passing. <br> <br>A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 - 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 2:00 pm. <br> <br>If so desired, donations in Claudia Joan’s memory may be made to The Alberta Childrens’s Hospital Foundation (2888 Shaganappi Trail NW, Calgary, Alberta T3B 6A8, www.childrenshospital.ab.ca). <br> <br>To express condolences, please visit: www.mountainviewmemorial.ca. <br></div>
