<div itemprop="description">EBEL, Dankwart &ldquo;Dan&rdquo;<br />January 1, 1941 ~ September 14, 2015<br /><br />Dan Ebel, beloved husband for 46 years to Elaine of Calgary, passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Dulcina Hospice on Monday, September 14, 2015 at the age of 74 years. <br /><br />Dan will be sadly missed by his children: Kerri (James) Clark, Craig Ebel and Bryan Ebel (fianc&eacute; Michelle O&rsquo;Keefe) and his grandchildren: Kyle and Brad. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters: Maria (Fred) Wutzke, Elisabeth Koch and Doris (Karl) Ahner as well as by many extended family members and friends. <br /><br />Dan was born in Loewen, Germany and emigrated to Calgary in 1953. He attended Langevin School, Concordia College (Edmonton) and SAIT (Calgary). Dan owned and operated Abel Sheet Metal Ltd. (Calgary) until his retirement in 2012. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and mentor to many. Dan particularly enjoyed spending quality time with his family. <br /><br />A Memorial Service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church (3527 Boulton Road NW) on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. <br /><br />If so desired, memorial tributes may be made in Dan&rsquo;s name to Hope Lutheran Church, 3527 Boulton Road NW, Calgary, AB T2L 1M5. <br /><br />To express condolences, please visit: www.mountainviewmemorial.ca.
