<div itemprop="description">Dewayne James Lavallie of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on November 21, 2016 at the age of 66 years. <br><br>He was the loving father of Jocelyne Svensson, Maigan Lavallie, Joelle Lavallie and Dean Livingston. He will also be lovingly remembered by his best friend, Goldie Livingston, his sisters, Velma Lavallie and Sharon Lavallie, his brother Doug Lavallie, numerous nieces and nephews, his 4 grand children, friends and the Metis community. Dewayne was born in Prince Albert, Sk to Alfred Lavallie and Alexina Blanche Collins. <br><br>He became a Red Seal Journeyman Millwright in 1992 and also received his Electrician apprentice in 2001. The job Dewayne loved most was driving the school bus for Aboriginal Headstart (Reil). Another one of his great accomplishments was being president of the Local 87 of Metis Nation of Alberta. He enjoyed being a father and watching his children play hockey and soccer. Dewayne will always be remembered for his infectious smile as he always brought joy and laughter where ever he was, he was truly the glue that held the family together. <br><br>A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MNA Local 87 (Metis Nation of Alberta) 1415 28 St NE, Calgary, AB T2A 2P6.</div>
