<div itemprop="description">Mr. Eugenio Galanto, lovingly known as Tatay, Grandpa or Lolo, peacefully went with the Lord on January 18, 2017 at the age of 92. <br><br>He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalina Grandecela Galanto; seven children; sons-in-law; grandchildren; great grandchildren; his brother, Moises; cousins; nieces; nephews and adopted families. <br><br>He was predeceased by his parents, Demetrio and Olympia Galanto; his older sister, Caridad Gange; and younger brothers, Primitivo and Ramon.<br><br> He was born in Guimaras, Philippines and came to Canada in 1990. He passed away a few days before his 63rd wedding anniversary to the love of his life Rosalina. <br><br>One of Tatay’s most notable characteristics was his generosity—he opened our home to anyone who needed food and shelter. As a result, missionaries stayed in our home and fed us the Word of God. A home established in the power of God and a family guided by the precepts of the Lord is truly blessed. <br><br>Psalm 23:6 - Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. <br><br>Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday February 3, 2017 from 3:00—8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel at 5:30 p.m. <br><br>A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday February 4, 2017 at 2:00pm, with visitation one hour prior. <br><br>To express condolences, please visit www.mountainviewmemorial.ca<br></div>
