Gladys was one of nine children (Herb, Harold, Gladys, Gordon, Art, Muriel, Archie, Gertrude, Raymond) born to Percival (Harry) Callin and Priscilla Schauntz Eby who married in Ontario but moved west to build a future together farming in Alberta. Gladys married Verne Wilbert McLennan on November 19, 1947 in Vancouver, BC. Her new husband brought with him a ready-made family of two daughters (Dona Lee and Linda Dell) from his first marriage. Larry Wayne was born August 25, 1951 to complete their family. She raised her family in Vancouver but moved back to Alberta after she became a widow August 25, 1990.
She was predeceased by Dona Hyde November 14, 2001 and is survived by Linda Wood (Gordon), Larry (Petra Lange), three grandsons; Brian (Rachel) Wood, Douglas Wood, Scott (Sarah) Lange and one great-grandson Benjamin Lange.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens (1515 - 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.
