Katie was born on August 16, 1931 in Bassano, Alberta. <br /> <br /> She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Linda (Lorne) Swain, Cheryl McIntyre and Sandy Iddiols; her grandchildren: Nadine (Chris) Foster, Murray (Laura) Swain, Kristy (Jody Peesker) Swain and Michelle Swain; and her great-grandchildren: Ethan and Kaden Foster and Owen Swain. <br /> <br /> She is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Dorothy Reimer, Verna Doolittle, Winnie Quigley and Olive Iddiols; as well as numerous other family and friends. <br /> <br /> Katie was predeceased by her husband Art in 1990; her parents Elizabeth and Jacob; her brothers: Jack and Peter; her sisters: Louvina and Elizabeth. <br /> <br /> A special thanks to the caring staff of Unit 54 of the Peter Lougheed Centre.
