Paul Kahler
April 17, 1935 - May 17, 2017
With profound sadness, his family announces the passing of Paul Kahler, on Wednesday, May 17th at the age of 82 years. Paul is lovingly remembered by his son Paul Jr. (Tammy), his daughter Eileen, and his grandchildren Braden and Cole. Paul was born in Tarutino, Bessarabia. He came to Canada as a boy, growing up in Bridgeland and living the rest of his life in Calgary. In 1961, he met his life’s love, Audrey. They married 3 three months later. He was never idle, and successfully ran his own plumbing and heating business for over forty years. He was a true gentleman in every respect. Paul was modest and thoughtful, a gentle, supportive guide, with a great sense of humour, and as much a fan of comedy as classical music. He kept his life simple, found contentment in just doing and being, pleasure in his family, and experienced the greatest joy in watching his grandson’s grow into caring young men. There was never a more devoted or selfless husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed. True to his character, Paul requested no formal services be held.
