<div itemprop="description">VITKOVIC, Slavko <br>February 21, 1938 - April 28, 2016 <br> <br>It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Slavko Vitkovic of Chestermere, Alberta at Seton Agecare on April 28, 2016 at the age of 78 years. <br> <br>Slavko was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his wife Stojica, daughter Slavica (Vedud) Subasic of Chestermere, son Zeljko Vitkovic of Lucerne, Switzerland, grandsons Damir and Alen Subasic of Chestermere, grandson Boris Vitkovic and granddaughter Nina Vitkovic of Lucerne, Switzerland. He will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers Mirko Vitkovic and Mile Vitkovic and his sister Mileva Sukalo and their families. <br> <br>Slavko was predeceased by his parents Blagoja and Vida Vitkovic, and sisters Radojka Mrdjanov and Marica Marinovic. Slavko was born in Karajzovci, Bosanska Gradiska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. <br> <br>After finishing technical school, he started his career in Iron and Steel Works in Zenica and worked his way up to being Quality Control Manager. When he retired, Slavko, together with his wife, moved to Canada in 1997. Slavko enjoyed playing chess with his son Zeljko.
