<div itemprop="description">NEVILLE, Bernice Edna (nee Murphy)<br />December 6, 1919 - September 17, 2015<br /><br />Bernice Neville, beloved wife of Jim (2013) passed away at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks on September 17, 2015 at the age of 95 years. <br /><br />She is survived by children: Bonnie (Duane 2015) MacPhail, John (Sharon) Neville, Marcia (Bruce) Jeffers, Patricia (Morris) Hauser, Kerry (Twilene) Neville as well as by eleven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Terrance (Eileen) Murphy and sister Kathleen Walls. Bernice is predeceased by her parents, her husband Jim Neville, son in law Duane MacPhail, and six siblings. <br /><br />Born in Fort MacLeod, Bernice lived at Eweleme Place (20-25 miles SW of Fort MacLeod). She attended school at Eweleme School District Wintemute, Waterton School District and Fort MacLeod for high School. From 1938-1942, she attended Holy Cross Hospital for nursing training but delayed her graduation due to appendectomy in her senior year and was sent home to Cowley for a 9 month recovery period. In November 1942, Bernice began her career at the Vulcan Hospital. She and Jim were married on July 1, 1943 in Cowley, AB. Throughout the years, she lived in various places in BC, Alberta, Manitoba, the US but has lived in Calgary and area since 1975.<br /><br /> Family was always very important to her through her entire life. She also enjoyed her many hobbies such as sewing, artwork, and painting. She loved dogs and horses and was quite fond of various sports including football, baseball, hockey and chuckwagon races. <br /><br />Memorial donations in Bernice&rsquo;s memory may be made directly to the Foothills Country Hospice Society (PO Box 274, Okotoks, AB, T1S 1A5). <br /><br />A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 206 9 Ave SW, High River AB. <br /><br />To express condolences, please visit: www.mountainviewmemorial.ca. <br /></div>
